Unplugged @ The Beach

9 days in South Carolina.  Over in the blink of an eye.  The beach in the hot sun.  Playing in tidal pools.  Staying far away from the scary loud waves.  Out to dinner with family.  Family dinners at Nonna and Nonno’s.  Lunch with one of my best friends.  Time spent laughing with cousins.  A bond between the Roc and his auntie Andrea.  The beach while the sun goes down.  The pupper tearing around the beach.  Crabbing with GC and Nonno.  Swimming in Nonna & Nonno’s pool.  Jumping in even though it’s against the rules.  Torpedos (being thrown by GC.)  The beach at night with flashlights and good friends.  1st minor league baseball game.  Making it through the pregame festivities, entire baseball game, and the fireworks after.  Nachos, ice cream, pasta, shrimp, donuts, the scale showing an extra 4 pounds this morning.  The beach with just mom, with mom and dad, with family, with friends.  Night swimming.  World cup soccer.  Watching movies with Nonna.  7 year wedding anniversary dinner.  My 1st 5 guys hamburger.  Flowers for Great Grammy.  High tide.  Low tide.  Sand castles, shells, stingrays, crabs, throwing star fish back in ocean when the tide goes out.  Staying up late.  Sleeping until 10.  Laughter.  Tears.  Giggles.  Meltdowns.  Exhaustion.  Peace.  Excitement.  Overwhelming emotions.  Progress noted.

So many stories.

As always, Roc looks like he’s having a super time. (Or wiped out from having had a super time.)

My favorite this round though (sorry Roc) is the pooch running at the camera.

  4. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and leaving a comment. Your blog is beautiful, and so is your son! I look forward to catching up and getting to know you! And we, coincidentally, leave for South Carolina in a few weeks. My extended family gathers there every summer at my parents’ house in Hilton Head!
